Returns & Refunds

At African BBQ Sauce, we want every order to arrive safely, correctly, and in good condition. Because we sell food products, we maintain specific return and refund procedures to protect product quality and food safety.

Food Product Returns

Due to food safety and health considerations, we generally cannot accept returns or exchanges of food products after they have been delivered.

However, we will work with you if your order:

  • Arrives damaged or leaking;
  • Contains the wrong product;
  • Is defective or otherwise unusable upon arrival;
  • Arrives with a broken or compromised safety seal;
  • Is missing an item you paid for; or
  • Has another verified fulfillment problem caused by us.

Reporting a Problem

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@africanbbqsauce.com.

Include:

  • Your name;
  • Order number;
  • A description of the problem; and
  • Photos of the product, packaging, shipping box, and shipping label when applicable.

Please do not discard damaged products or packaging until we have reviewed your request, as photographs or additional information may be required.

Refunds and Replacements

After reviewing your request, we may offer, as appropriate:

  • A replacement product;
  • A refund to the original payment method;
  • A partial refund when only part of an order is affected; or
  • Store credit, if you agree to receive it.

If African BBQ Sauce made an error or the product arrived damaged or defective, approved refunds will include the applicable amount paid for the affected product and, where appropriate, associated shipping charges.

Approved refunds are submitted to the original payment method. Your bank, credit card company, digital wallet, or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

Nothing in this policy limits any refund rights required by applicable law.

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.

Orders may be cancelled for a full refund if the cancellation request is received before the order has been processed or shipped.

Once an order has entered fulfillment or has shipped, we may be unable to cancel it.

Shipping Delays and Unavailable Products

We make reasonable efforts to ship orders within the timeframe displayed on our website or communicated during checkout.

If we cannot ship your order within the promised timeframe, we will provide the options required by applicable law, which may include consenting to a revised shipping date or cancelling the affected order for a refund.

If we cannot fulfill an order, we may cancel it and issue a refund to the original payment method.

Lost Packages

If tracking indicates that an order has been lost in transit, contact us at info@africanbbqsauce.com.

We may work with the shipping carrier to investigate the shipment and determine whether a replacement or refund is appropriate.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information during checkout.

If an order cannot be delivered because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, additional shipping charges may apply if the order can safely be reshipped.

Because our products are food items, products returned to us by a carrier may not be eligible for resale or reshipment.

Refused or Unclaimed Deliveries

Refunds are not guaranteed for orders refused by the customer or left unclaimed unless the refusal resulted from an error by African BBQ Sauce or applicable law requires otherwise.

Change-of-Mind Purchases

Because our products are food products, we generally do not provide refunds or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind;
  • Personal taste preferences;
  • Ordering the wrong flavor or quantity;
  • Failure to read product descriptions or ingredient information; or
  • Products that have been opened, used, altered, or improperly stored after delivery.

This does not affect your rights if the product is defective, damaged, incorrect, or otherwise covered by applicable law.
